Bharatanatyam Dance Experience

5PM– Pick up from Conference Venue, National Science Seminar Complex, IISc
8PM– Drop back to hotel

In the Bharatanatyam Dance experience, a well-accomplished dancer and her students will bring alive this ancient dance form of India through mythology, gestures and expressions. This is a great opportunity to learn a few steps and have fun performing it.

Bharatanatyam is a unique ancient art from the temples of South India. Our instructor will introduce this dance form through mythical stories and spiritual ideas. Guests will learn the language, concepts, and history of this dance form.

This is followed by a demonstration of how actions, footwork and hand gestures come together to bring alive the different emotions while narrating a story. While eye movements convey the meaning facial expressions capture the essence of the narrative.
