Language – Abstracts must be written in UK English
Originality – All abstracts must be original work.
Format of Abstract
- Title – The title of the abstract should be as brief as possible, with a maximum of 100 characters including blank spaces, preferably less.
- Body – the body of the abstract should be a maximum of 350 words (excluding the title) of plain text without any diagrams, charts, footnotes or references.
An abstract must be self-contained so that if published it will be complete, independent of presentation. The abstract should not contain statements alluding to results or conclusions not presented within the text.
Submitting Your Abstract
Abstracts must only be submitted online through the submission forms on the website: www.isce2023.org.
Online Submissions will be acknowledged by automatic e-mail to the presenting author.
A maximum of two abstracts will be accepted from a presenting author. If two abstracts are submitted, one must be for Poster-only (See Presentation Formats below)
The abstract should be submitted only by the Presenting Author.
Presenting Author
The presenting author is the one who will personally present the paper at the conference, at either an oral or poster session. The presenting author need not be the primary (first) author. All communication from the conference will be only with the presenting author. The presenting author’s contact details must be listed when submitting the abstract on-line.
The Congress Secretariat will communicate with the presenting author through the e-mail address entered in the online submission form. The presenting author should mark the secretariat’s email address as “Not a Spam Source” or equivalent in his/her email software.
After Submission
Opening and Closing Dates
The abstract submission system will open on 1 February 2023 and close on 10 April 2023 at 6.00 pm Indian Standard Time (GMT+ 5 hrs 30 mins). Submissions will not be accepted after the closing date/time. Abstracts may be edited or deleted/replaced online as often as desired up to the closing date/time.
Presentation Formats
Presentations based on the abstract will be in Oral or Poster format. When submitting an abstract online, presenting authors may request:
- “Oral or Poster as decided by Committee”
- or “Poster only”
The Scientific Committee retains the right to decide whether the abstract is more suited for Oral or Poster presentation.
Authors who have papers accepted for Oral presentations should prepare Microsoft Powerpoint slides. Mac users please convert to PowerPoint (https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT202220). Presenting authors, both Oral and Poster, will receive detailed instruction about congress computing facilities, requirements and appropriate guidelines prior to the congress. Oral presenters are limited to 15 minutes plus 5 minutes of audience questions.
Review and Acceptance of Submissions
At the close of abstract submissions, the abstracts will be distributed to reviewers for assessment and comment. Based on these reviews, the Scientific Program Committee will accept or reject the submissions and allocate accepted papers to an appropriate Qral or Poster session. Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process by 30 April 2023
Registration of Presenting Authors
For a presentation based on the abstract to be included in the program, presenting authors must register for the Congress no later than 31 May 2023. If presenting authors are not registered by that date, the abstract will be deleted from the program and will not be published.
Substitute Presenters
Presenters who are unable to attend the Congress may nominate a substitute presenter, provided the substitute:
– is a co-author of the paper
– is registered to attend the congress
– will have a total of two or less total presentations (oral+poster) including all those for which he/she will be a substitute presenter.
Publication Rights
By submitting an abstract, the authors give the right to the Conference to publish the abstract.
